Roasted Chickpeas

Ingredients:

  • 1 can chickpeas

  • Extra virgin olive oil

  • Salt (pink Himalayan or garlic salt)

  • Black pepper

  • Basil

  • Chili powder seasoning (optional)

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees

  • Drain the can of chickpeas and rinse under water 2-3 times

  • Place on a plate and blot dry with paper towels (try to get them as dry as possible)

  • Place the chickpeas in a bowl and drizzle olive oil on top along with salt, pepper, basil and chili powder (optional)

  • Stir well and spread onto a cookie sheet

  • Place in oven and bake for 40-45 minutes. Check often after 30 minutes. They will be done when they just start to get crunchy.

  • Once cooked, take out of oven and let sit until completely cool.

  • You can store them in an airtight container once they cool.
