Roasted Chickpeas
Ingredients:
1 can chickpeas
Extra virgin olive oil
Salt (pink Himalayan or garlic salt)
Black pepper
Basil
Chili powder seasoning (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Drain the can of chickpeas and rinse under water 2-3 times
Place on a plate and blot dry with paper towels (try to get them as dry as possible)
Place the chickpeas in a bowl and drizzle olive oil on top along with salt, pepper, basil and chili powder (optional)
Stir well and spread onto a cookie sheet
Place in oven and bake for 40-45 minutes. Check often after 30 minutes. They will be done when they just start to get crunchy.
Once cooked, take out of oven and let sit until completely cool.
You can store them in an airtight container once they cool.
